Cameron House is a luxury five-star hotel located on the South West Shores of Loch Lomond. Set in picturesque surroundings, this stunning Scottish Baronial Mansion is at the heart of The Cameron House Resort and boasts 136 bedrooms and suites and a family friendly leisure club. Our guests can enjoy a choice of dining experiences to suit the occasion including our 2AA Rosette Restaurant the Cameron Grill and accompanying Great Scots Bar as well as the Claret Jug situated within the Carrick and our more relaxed informal Boathouse restaurant overlooking the Marina.

Vacancy Description: Restaurant Supervisor (40 hours)

40hrs per week, £17k per annum- 5 days out of 7, varying shift pattern; typically the earliest start time could commence 5.30am and latest finish on an evening shift could be around 2am

This role will be situated within our newly refurbished 2 AA Rosette Cameron Grill Restaurant which operates predominantly to cover Breakfast and Dinner service here in Cameron House Hotel. Reporting to the Grill Manager, as Restaurant Supervisor you will be expected to lead, inspire and motivate the Food and Beverage team to give exceptional service and a lasting positive impression making sure that our customers have everything they need to enjoy their dining experience at Cameron House.

Operational duties will include:

  • Carrying out all relevant day to day duties within the Cameron Grill and ensuring that all guests requests are met to the correct standard
  • With the Restaurant Manager, devising and implementing service strategy
  • Controlling costs and revenue in relation to payroll and operating cost
  • Handling any guest comments or issues in an expedient and guest focus manner
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to including standards of cleanliness and health and Safety Legislation
  • Ensuring all team members are up to date with required training, and adhering to department standards
  • Being responsible for managing and striving to improve team member’s performance, timekeeping and attendance

Skills/ Experience Required

  • Proven track record in a similar role at supervisory level – Experience within a Hotel Restaurant/ Bar is desirable but not essential
  • To have the experience and ability to develop and motivate each member of your team to maximise their potential
  • To know how to maximise sales opportunities through up-selling whilst delivering a five star customer service to our guests
  • Have a good standard of numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have good operational knowledge and IT skills
  • Have an excellent level of spoken and written English
  • have great organisational skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, stimulating environment
  • To be smart and well presented, leading by example in all aspects of appearance for your team
  • To have a great personality and be genuine, approachable, attentive and instinctive
  • Possess excellent time management, prioritisation and attention to detail
  • To be able to work varying shifts which will include weekends and bank holidays
