New £6.5m Hotel Officially Opened
VIP guests from the local community and travel and tourism industry were treated to a VIP reception to mark the opening of the new Drimsynie Estate Hotel on Wednesday 26 September.
The new £6.5million hotel was officially opened by, Gordon Watson, Chief Executive of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, who was welcomed by Roy, Allan and Keith Campbell owners of Argyll Holidays.
The hotel, which will add to the area’s already thriving tourism sector, boasts 19 rooms, including accessible family rooms. It also has a stunning new restaurant overlooking Loch Goil, a spa and state-of-the-art gym.
Allan Campbell, Director at Argyll Holidays has been instrumental in the design and construction process of the hotel. He said: “It’s with great pride that we officially open the doors to our new hotel. It’s been many years in the planning and to see guests from across the world enjoying it is wonderful.
“Our parents started this business in 1967 with a simple caravan park. Now 50 years on we’ve unveiled what we believe is the real jewel in the Argyll Holidays crown and something we think our dad would’ve been extremely proud of.
“We’re delighted to have welcomed so many people to our official opening. From representatives from the local community, industry guests and many of our loyal suppliers, they’ve all helped us create this fabulous hotel that is already proving a big hit with holidaymakers.”
Located on the picturesque banks of Loch Goil, the hotel has been thoughtfully designed around the breath-taking scenery on its doorstep, with guests able to enjoy panoramic views of the Argyll Forest all year round.
