Posted in: Business Development

Luxury venue The Lodge on Loch Goil will open an onsite fine dining restaurant to the public from 5 April 2018.

Sitting peacefully on the breathtaking shores of Loch Goil in Argyllshire, The Lodge on Loch Goil’s new restaurant will offer the very best of Scottish produce, locally sourced and prepared by rising young chef Daniel Holleren. Guests will be able to choose to dine in the loch-side conservatory, the Arts & Crafts dining room, or in the incredible Lodge on Loch Goil treehouse.

The kitchen plans to offer a seasonal choice menu with a perfectly matched wine list, with many of the ingredients being foraged on site or grown in the lodge’s very own culinary gardens.

Managing Director, Iain Hopkins commented, “The lodge has been running very successfully for over 20 years. The food we serve as part of this experience is one of the things we know our guests love most so we’re delighted to be opening our doors to the public and offering the chance to experience our food to our visiting guests".

The Lodge on Loch Goil is committed to serving the highest quality of locally sourced, seasonal food and looks forward to welcoming new guests.

Iain said, "As a venue we’re constantly striving to improve and evolve, and with this exciting new step, we’re aiming to become a first-class dining destination in a 5- star location.

The food we serve is one of the things we know our guests love most, so we're delighted to be opening our doors to the public.

Head Chef Daniel Holleren is equally excited about the new venture, adding “Over the years the Lodge on Loch Goil has become synonymous with private weddings and events which has propelled us to be one of the market leaders in this field. We have truly outstanding produce available on our doorstep that we take inspiration from. Working with world-class ingredients, and changing our menus to suit the seasons, all done in this incredible setting, is an immense next step for us as we open our doors.

Daniel continued, “Our aim is simple: to give our food the highest platform that it undoubtedly deserves. I know the locals, as well as international visitors will love the experience and I’m delighted to be part of this next exciting venture.

Opening on 5 April 2018, the new restaurant will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays throughout April moving up to four nights a week in May. Space will be limited and dining in the restaurant will require advance booking.
