In Scotland we chat about the weather on a daily basis, so let’s put that to one side and turn our attention to the strategic implication of long-term climate change.

Did you realise Scotland’s climate is changing and the impacts are already being felt: average temperatures are rising, sea levels are rising, total rainfall has increased and heavy downpours are becoming more frequent.

Therefore, climate change will affect the length and quality of Scottish tourism seasons, tourist decision making, condition of natural and built tourism assets and new product developments.
